Talk Therapy is not a crisis service and is not a monitored service. In an emergency situation, please call 111 in New Zealand (or your local emergency service number). If you are thinking about suicide, considering harming yourself or others, feel that you or any other person may be in any danger or have any medical emergency, you must immediately call the emergency service number and notify the relevant authorities. Seek immediate in person assistance.
By using the Talk Therapy website and online therapy tool these T&Cs automatically apply to you - so we recommend reading them carefully before using the site and online counselling services. If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use this site or our online counselling services.
​1. About bookings, payments and cancellations

You shall pay all fees and charges associated with your sessions on a timely basis and according to the fee schedule, the terms and the rates as published on the Talk Therapy Platform. By providing Talk Therapy with your Payment Means you authorize us to bill and charge you through the Payment Means. Further, you shall maintain valid Payment Means information in your account information

Our session cancellation policy is as follows
1 week before your session: 100% refund if you cancel. Rescheduling allowed without penalty.

24 hours before your session: 50% refund if you cancel your session. Rescheduling allowed without penalty.
​
Less than 24 hours before your session: You will be charged the full amount if you cancel. 50% rescheduling allowed penalty.

No Show: Refunds for unused time (no show) are normally not granted since the Counsellors charge for time which is scheduled to be used – as other medical professionals.

2. About our therapists and their relationship with you:
Talk Therapy Company cooperates with licensed or certified/accredited professional Counsellors. The Company requires all Counsellors providing Counsellor Services to be licensed or certified/accredited professionals in good standing in the relevant field of expertise abiding by all relevant laws, rules, and regulations in New Zealand.
You are aware of that the online counselling therapy we offer may not be suitable for everyone’s needs or for every particular situation and/or may not be a complete substitute for a face-to-face examination and/or care in every particular situation. If the services you have been provided by the Counsellor are not suitable for your needs or expectations, you are entitled to change to a different Counsellor who provides services through the Talk Therapy Platform.

This website is governed by New Zealand law, and the courts of New Zealand have exclusive jurisdiction.
The website may not comply with laws of countries outside of New Zealand. If you access this website from another country it is your responsibility to comply with the laws of that country.
